Megan Pfannenstiel is a Licensed Professional Counselor based out of the Catholic Charities office in Hays. She has a background working with children, teens, adults and the aging population with various mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, and thought disorders, as well as adoption, grief and loss, and marital issues. She has experience with individual, family and group therapy.
Megan graduated from Fort Hays State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Speech Language Pathology in 2010 and a Master of Science Degree in Community Counseling in 2015. Upon completion of her master’s degree, Megan worked as a case manager for the Northwest Kansas Area Agency on Aging for two years. She has worked with the Senior Care Act, completed CARE assessments, as well as FAI’s for the Physically Disabled waiver, the Frail Elderly waiver, and the TBI waiver. I then accepted a position as an acute hospital therapist at KVC Wheatland where she provided group therapy, individual therapy and safety planning with clients and their families. Megan received her Licensed Professional Counselor licensure in April 2018.
