Carlisle Bergquist is a licensed Clinical Marriage and Family Therapist (LCMFT) who has practiced in in Kansas since 2000. Prior to that he was licensed and began practicing in California in 1993. His clinical specialties include: transpersonal psychology; the struggles of the arts; spiritual emergence; relationships; biofeedback and cognitive behavioral interventions.
Carlisle received his Bachelors in Biology from Kansas Wesleyan University specializing in native prairie flora with Wes Jackson, Ph.D. of The Land Institute. He received his Masters in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from John F. Kennedy University. As a Doctoral Candidate in dissertation at Saybrook Institute, Carlisle worked with Jeanne Achterberg, Ph.D., Stanley Krippner, Ph.D., and Tom Greening, Ph.D. His research focuses on using sound to create brain states that enable creativity enhancement, personal transformation, and societal healing.
Carlisle's skills combine a broad educational, professional, and experiential background to provide a unique perspective. In addition to his work in psychology, he is a published author, performer (withextensive training in music and drama from the University of Southern California), composer, researcher and entrepreneuer operating VANTAGE QUEST since 1996.
