Hello! My name is Melissa Herrera, and I've served as the Emergency Assistance Coordinator at Catholic Charities since August 2018. In this role, I review emergency assistance applications and provide clients with essential items such as food, hygiene products, bus passes, and clothing vouchers. Additionally, I offer support by answering phones and connecting people with other valuable resources.

What I find most rewarding about my work is the opportunity to get to know the clients we serve. Each person who walks through our doors has a unique story and witnessing their reactions when we provide them with food and hygiene products reminds me of the importance of our mission and the impact we have on individuals and families in need.
