Hello! My name is Peggy Crippen, and I serve as the Pregnancy & Adoption Specialist for Catholic Charities in Salina since January 2015. In my role, I provide support to pregnant women to ensure healthy pregnancies, live births, and guide them through the early weeks of their infant’s life. Additionally, I facilitate the adoption process by completing home studies, assisting birth parents with adoption plans, and guiding both adoptive couples and birth parents through the necessary paperwork. It is truly humbling to witness the cooperation between birth parents and adoptive parents for the benefit of a precious child.
What I find most fulfilling about working for Catholic Charities is the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in many people’s lives and show compassion to those who don’t often receive it.
I have a master’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, both from Kansas State University (Go Wildcats!). I have worked in the social services field since 1996. Prior to joining Catholic Charities, I worked in various settings including a community mental health center, an early education (Head Start) program, and on a military base. However, my most cherished role remains that of “MOM” to my children.
