Hello, my name is Shannon, and I serve as the Hays Thrift Store Manager at Catholic Charities, a role I stepped into in August 2024. I manage the daily operations of the Hays Thrift Store, ensuring a welcoming and organized space for both shoppers and clients while assisting individuals and families who rely on the store for essential items and affordable goods.
I began my journey with Catholic Charities in June 2023 as the Emergency Assistance and Office Coordinator at the Hays office. In that role, I assisted clients with completing paperwork for emergency assistance with rent, utilities, and prescriptions, while also providing essential items such as food, hygiene products, and diapers.
What I find most fulfilling about working for Catholic Charities is interacting with the clients we serve. It is a humbling experience to be a part of an organization that positively impacts so many lives in various ways.
Outside of work, I am a proud parent to three children - two sons and a daughter. In my spare time, I love to spend time with my family. My favorite hobby is photography and I’ve had the privilege of capturing senior pictures and birth photography!
