Hello, my name is Sofia, and I have been serving as the Community Engagement and Outreach Coordinator in the Hays office since August 2024. In this role, I bring Catholic Charities’ services to rural communities by creating and delivering boxes with food and supplies. I also manage the supply inventory in the Hays office.

What I like most about Catholic Charities is that we help the less fortunate through a "Christian lens." As Christians, we are called to serve one another, and I’m excited to contribute to that mission.

I graduated from Fort Hays State University in 2023. During my time there, I worked at the FHSU Tiger Pantry, gaining valuable experience that pertains to this position. I got married in May, and it was a beautiful wedding! My husband, Robert, is very excited for me to start this new position. For fun, Robert and I teach free swing dance classes on campus at FHSU.
